Baita Del Sole: Unique High-Altitude Experiences!

The "Baita del Sole" first opened its doors way back in 1959. Over the years, it has had several different managements, until Adriano took over in July 2011. He also simultaneously purchased and managed the ski lifts, thus restoring Prato Valentino to its most distinctive element.

Adriano's work ends today with Stefano's acquisition of the property: our commitment is to honor the tradition that has always characterized the "Baita del Sole", but with an eye to the future and modernity. Here and now, we present the new Chalet Baita del Sole.

The renovation initiative for Baita del Sole was started by Stefano, who has been frequenting Prato Valentino since he was a child. Driven by his love for this sunny ski resort, in 2011, Stefano decided to take over the management of the upper floor of Baita del Sole with the "Sunset" initiative: a warm and quick refreshment option for those who want to have lunch quickly without waiting for table service, which is offered on the ground floor of the establishment. As time went on, Stefano became increasingly convinced that such a beautiful place deserved more attention.

So, in 2022, renovation work began, leading to the creation of a young and modern restaurant, like its owner, where guests can enjoy traditional Valtellina dishes in a warm atmosphere ready to welcome them among fir planks and the crackling flame of the fireplace.

On the Vivere Valtellina website, there are 3 activities available at this wonderful establishment:

- Cooking Class for the Pizzocchero Academy + lunch or dinner for 1 person.

- Overnight stay in a Standard room + dinner for 2 people.

- Overnight stay in a Deluxe Suite + dinner for 2 people.
