Defining ski mountaineering is like taking a step into the deep history of humanity. Its origins are as ancient as the need to move on snow.
Now it is a recreational and sporting activity that recognizes the benefit of the sense of freedom and well-being it produces, whereas once it was the fastest way to move in winter.

N.B. Required level for access to the course: confident skiing on a red slope.
Minimum 4 participants, maximum 8.
N.B. Experience available from December to March (agree on the day with the facility according to the proposed calendar) and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course offers a parallel and comprehensive exploration of aspects related to: risk management, uphill progression technique, downhill progression technique, and group dynamics.
The objective is to provide the basic elements necessary for easy self-guided excursions.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 30 lt backpack
- Ski touring skis with bindings and skins
- Ski touring boots
- ARTVA, shovel and probe (mandatory)
- Mountaineering or ski touring helmet
- Clothing suitable for cold winter mountains
- Harness, ice axe, crampons
- Packed lunch with Thermos and enough drinks
- Glasses and sun cream
- Wool hat, 2 pairs of gloves
- First aid kit and headlamp
WHERE
The courses are organized as touring expeditions: the locations where we will move will be Valmalenco, Orobie Valtellinesi Park, Engadine, Val Chiavenna.
USEFUL INFORMATION
The price includes professional liability insurance but does not include personal coverage for injuries not dependent on the direct responsibility of the guide. The price DOES NOT include the logistics costs of individuals and the guide (which remains at the expense of the participants) and DOES NOT include any other cost that does not concern the execution of the course on site.
