The Indomita Canoe School offers 3 levels of kayak courses: which level is right for you?

Level 1: for those who have never kayaked or only sporadically self-taught;

Level 2: for those familiar with Class 2/3 rapids;

Level 3: for those who are comfortable in Class 3 with occasional Class 4 experience.

N.B. This experience can be used from March 1st to October 31st and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

DETAILS

Duration: 10 hours divided into 2-hour modules

Technical equipment: provided directly by us

Meeting point: Indomita headquarters in Castione Andevenno, via Nazionale, near the FS Station

Course structure: The course consists of 5 lessons, each 2 hours long, from Monday to Friday. The lesson schedule will be agreed upon with the Indomita secretariat.
Variations: The technical management of Indomita Valtellina River reserves the right to change the course location to ensure the necessary standards for the scheduled lesson.

Which level is right for you?

1st level, beginner

For the novice, self-taught, or anyone who has never practiced kayaking. The objective of the first-level course is to teach the rudiments of technique, create synergy between the canoe and the paddler, and impart the fundamentals of kayak control in flat water. During the final part of the course, there will be the first taste of moving water.

2nd level, intermediate

For paddlers who are comfortable with Class 2/3, but want to refine their fundamentals in both flat and moving water. During the course, particular attention will be given to refining fundamentals (both flat and moving water) and to the most important self-rescue maneuver: the Eskimo roll.

3rd level, advanced

The third level is for kayakers who are comfortable with Class 3/4, but are looking to perfect their techniques and combine them to improve their level of confidence, precision, and safety when paddling in difficult rapids. This is intended for both the average self-taught paddler and students of 2nd-level courses who want to continue their learning journey.
