Azienda Agricola Agneda – Quality Cheeses, Meat, Cured Meats, and Wine in Valtellina

Azienda Agricola Agneda is a family-run livestock and wine-making business, operating near Sondrio, in Valtellina, since the first decade of the 2000s. The business continues the family's agricultural tradition, focusing on quality, sustainability and certified organic production.

The farm raises Brown Swiss cows and Frisa goats, from which they produce organic raw milk cheeses with an authentic, local flavor. They also raise Aubrac cattle for the production of organic meat and pigs for the preparation of fresh and aged cured meats.

All the forage used for feeding the animals is grown directly by the farm, ensuring maximum control over every phase of the supply chain and guaranteeing genuine and high-quality products.

The animals graze freely in the meadows adjacent to the farm, in the maggenghi (spring pastures) and in the alpeggi (mountain pastures). The farming follows the altimetric quotas and the seasonality of the pastures, starting from the valley floor (300 m), ascending in spring to the spring pastures (1200 m) and reaching, from June, the organic mountain pasture of Acquanera in Valmalenco, at an altitude of 2200 meters.

In addition to dairy and livestock production, Azienda Agricola Agneda cultivates Nebbiolo grapes in a terraced vineyard on the Rhaetian slopes of Valtellina. From these grapes comes the Dos Salat wine, an authentic expression of the Valtellina territory.

The farm's products – cheeses, meat, cured meats, and wine – are available all year round at the farm shop in Sondrio.
