The new Chalet Baita del Sole
The renovation initiative for the Baita del Sole comes from Stefano Carlucci, born in 1987, who has frequented Prato Valentino since he was a child.
Stefano, a proud native of Teglio, after his experience with the family bar in Teglio and another café directly on the SS38, driven by his love for this sunny ski resort, decided in 2011 to take over the management of the upper floor of the Baita del Sole with the "Sunset" initiative: a warm and quick refreshment spot for those who want to have a fast lunch without waiting for table service, which was offered on the ground floor of the establishment.
As time passed, Stefano became increasingly convinced that such a beautiful place deserved more attention. Thus, in 2022, he began renovation work that would lead to the creation of a young and modern restaurant, like its owner, where guests can savor typical Valtellina dishes in a warm atmosphere, ready to welcome them among fir planks and the crackling flame of the fireplace.
